Join us to make history. The end of COPS/Metro's 50th year of organizing is upon us - and it's going to be a historical event.
Recognition of past Leaders and Organizers
We will recognize:
- The leaders and organizers who helped build the early C.O.P.S. organization
- The leaders and organizers who built Metro Alliance
- The leaders who are no longer with us and are now a blessed memory with their families in attendance
- We will celebrate the power of the network of organizations across Texas and the United States that COPS/Metro has inspired
- The religious orders, denominations, and congregations that have faithfully supported COPS/Metro's work.
Robust Public Business and Call to Action
As always, we will have robust public business to say, with a unified voice across all sides of the City, and all 10 districts the kind of future and investment that our families deserve.
- A prioritization of life-saving flood infrastructure
- Living wages at all levels of the City
- and, NO public tax dollars for private profit
Building our Future
COPS/Metro has built the longest-standing broad-based organization in the history of community organizing. This work takes leaders, money, and a vision for the future.
COPS/Metro will gather on October 26th to recommit to the next 50 years as a multi-generational organization.
